"Oh my gosh!"
Itulah dua kata yg langsung muncul dlm pikiran gw wkt liat Karim Rashid secara langsung... Eits, jgn salah paham. Bukan karna gw ngefans berat ama orgnya ato gmn. Let me explain the chronology first...
Rabu pagi, waktunya kelas CCS (Contemporary and Contextual Studies). Karna bakal ada rapat re-validation yg melibatkan hampir semua dosen faculty of design, jdlah hr ini ga ada tutorial session. Jd, abis lecture 1 jem, kt diskusi soal literature review sebentar doang ama Hariati.
Slesai diskusi, ke library kampus cari2 buku referensi buat stained glass window, pegi mkn siang, trus jem 1 berangkat ke Expo deh. Nyampe di sono, kt baru nyadar kalo ga ada satupun yg tau seminarnya ada di hall yg mana. Wakakak... Belakangan br dikasi tau kalo ada di foyer 1, lantai 2 ruang D-E-F. Buset itu foyer 1 jauh jg dr MRT station. Yg paling dkt hall 6, sedangkan foyer 1 ada di deket hall 2. Lumayan gempor jalannya; mana pake nyasar dlu ke hall satu yg lebih jauh lg. Wew...
Pas uda di depan ruangan seminar, makin konyol deh. Uda dtgnya segerombolan (anak interior level 1 bnyk yg ikut), tapi smuanya GA PUNYA TIKET! Wakakakak... Pengaturannya aneh sih. Katanya semua tiket anak LASALLE uda dibayarin dlu ama sang Head of Interior Design. Tapi kok registration form & tiketnya ga pernah dikasih? Pokoknya kt cm disuruh ngabsen(!?) di sono, trus tau2 dikasi tiketnya. Bahkan duitnya ga dimintain jg. Ya udalah =p
Gw kurang cpt nih msk ke ruangannya. Jd dpt tempat duduk dua baris dari belakang. Hiks... Nah pas lecture uda mo mulai, masuklah Karim Rashid & bbrp panel buat Q&A session. Oh my... Karim Rashid pake kemeja & celana pnjg warna SHOCKING PINK! Gileee.... Untung dy masi pake jas putih di luar kemejanya.
Pas baru mulai lecture, gw masi excited buat dngr. Tp baru jg 10-15 mntan, gw NGANTUK! Gila gawat bngt. Bisa2nya malah ngantuk gitu. Dikit lg uda mo tidur bahkan. Huahaha. Mgkn gara2 sebelum lecture, br slesai makan siang. Uda gitu sempet nyomot ayam goreng sebelum masuk hall. Wakakak... Belom lg ruangannya dingiiinnnn bngt. Top deh buat bobo... XD
So, dgn keadaan yg ngantuk gitu, otomatis gw cm ngerti 60% gt dr isi lecturenya. Begitu uda slesai, Karim Rashid lepas jasnya. Waduuhh gw kaget bngt. Itu shocking pink lgsg nusuk mata! Gw jd ga mau liat ke dpn X_X
Wkt Q&A session, ada yang nanya pndpt dy soal program GO GREEN gt. Krn sblmnya dy uda ngmg soal sustainability di dlm lecturenya, prtnyaan ini ga dijwb lg. Tp taunya dy malah ngmg gini, "I just want to add something. PINK IS THE NEW GREEN." Buseeettt, gw lgsg melongo. Org2 malah pada ketawa & tepuk tgn. Ya ampuuunn, dy bner2 cinta bngt ama warna pink.
Anyway, sbnrnya ini acara yg diadain 26th ASEAN Furniture Show. Jd ada pameran furniture2 gt deh di Expo. Trmasuk exhibition kursi yg terpilih dari yg ikut kompetisi. Peserta kompetisinya ada yg dr NAFA, Temasek Polytechnic, NUS, ITE, & LASALLE tentunya. Ini foto2 kursi yg dibikin anak level 2 LASALLE. Walau ga menang, tp bs msk exhibition aja uda bangga bngt!

Yg namanya sakit, emang ga bs ditebak kapan datengnya...
Saat lg bnyk tgs gini, kok malah maen nyerang aja sih!?
Pdhl niatnya hari ini mo beresin 4 site model. Eh malah jd ga enak badan gini.
Tadi pagi sih masi gpp, tau2 pas lg makan siang di Street, kepala kok rasanya puyeng bngt. Kirain cm gara2 laper. Eh pas pulang, mulai deh hidung kesumbat, meler, pusing, badan agak panas, lemes & rasanya sakit smua... T_T
Walau kondisi kek gt, gw masi tetep bikin site model (ngeyel bner ya). Abisnya tanggung bngt kalo ga diberesin, setdknya ampe level 1 jd deh. Maunya sih ampe tangga ama level 2 jg. Tp uda ga kuat lg, mnding berhenti aja lah. Ntar malah jdnya ancur. Hahaha...
Skrg ini, masi dgn badan yg lemes, knp gw masi nulis blog??? Karna gw lagi bosen bngt! Pengen mncurahkan uneg2 soal keadaan yg ga enak bngt ini. Huahahaha...

Wow! Karim Rashid? What a rare chance!
Well, the talk isn't held today. It will be on March 11th.
Im totally interested to attend! He's one of the interior designers whose projects I like the most.
Will the talk be held at LASALLE? Pity, it won't. Instead, it will be at Expo which is soooo far away from home. This is one aspect that make me a little bit hesitant to join. Another thing is about the ticket price; $15 for LASALLE interior design students. Well, it's already a special price; normal price would be $30. But for the time being, I really need to save up money. On the other hand, this opportunity also would not come twice, would it? Argh, I'm in dilemma...
Anyway, this is a bit about Karim Rashid...
He is a half Egyptian-half English designer; graduated from Carleton University, Canada with Bachelor in Industrial Design. His projects range from interior, product, and furniture to lighting, art and music installation. What I like is that he applies fun, playful and attractive colors in his works. Yet, the form is so elegant and captivating. Look at some of his projects here...

Well, hi again...It has been such a long time since my last update. And now I am posting again because of my best friend Lala. She just created a blog and that reminded me of my own. Hahaha...
Anyway, these few days i was busy doing my IT project which dues tomorrow. It is an assignment to make digital 3D model with SketchUp program. The model is of Barcelona Pavillion by Mies van Der Rohe. And so, these are the images of my works...

Today's destination was Vivo City...
- Met at 12 with the others and then had lunch at the Food Republic.
- Took some photos outside the mall; at the area that faces Sentosa Island.
- Bought some stuffs at Daiso (everything's $2!)
- Shopped around for some t-shirts and jackets
- Had ice-cream at Häagen-Dazs

Starting from last year, I have been watching one of Taiwan singing contest 超級星光大道. I like the show very much and I follow every batch until now. There was one girl in the third batch that I really admire. Her name is 黎礎寧. She has good looks, great in dancing, and also voice that has strong characteristic and very soulful. Even though she wasn't the winner, she was the one I like the most in the third batch.
This evening while I was browsing for some videos of 超級星光大道, I unintentionally saw one video with her name as the title. Without reading the whole title properly, I clicked on it. I thought she would release her new album and maybe it was a report about it. But in the middle of the video, I felt something was wrong. "Did I really hear what I just heard?" was in my mind. Then I move my sight to the title again, and I was dumbstruck. What I found there was : 星光三班黎礎寧自殺身亡
Suicide?!! What? Why? How could that happen?
I was a fan of her, waiting for her new album to be released. With such voice and talent, I think that she would be successful in her singing career. But now, there's no more such thing like new album or whatever...
I tried to find news about this. And I found that on the night of November 12th, she killed herself by burning charcoal inside her car. She died because of inhaling too much carbon-monoxide. Her father stated that her reason was ”跟感情有关的“
我觉得好可惜哦
虽然感情的问提会让人很难过, 心疼
但为什么礎寧要选择这条路呢
难到没有比较好的方发来解决事请吗？
听了这新闻, 我觉的好难过耶...
不过，R.I.P 礎寧 ...
